Secondary League Setup
The secondary league is a league for interested owners who couldn't get in the main league for lack of space. Once all main league owners have paid, a secondary league setup will be decided on using the scenarios below.
Scenario 1 - Less than 14 owners
Setup: A secondary league will be created involving however many owners are awaiting entry to the main league. The playoff bracket will be determined once the amount of teams is finalized. The 2 teams who make the title game will be automatically moved to the main league the following year.
Buy in: $50.
Payouts: The champion, runner up and team who scores the most points in the regular season will win 57%, 29% and 14% of the prize pool respectively.
Scenario 2 - 14 to 27 owners
Setup: A secondary league will be created involving 14 teams. The top 6 teams will make the playoffs with #1 and #2 receiving byes. The 2 teams who make the title game will be automatically moved to the main league the following year.
Buy in: The buy in is $50.
Payouts: The champion, runner up and team who scores the most points in the regular season will win $400, $200 and $100 respectively.
Scenario 3 - 28 or more owners
Setup: Two secondary leagues will be created involving 14 teams each. The top 6 teams from each league will make the playoffs with #1 and #2 receiving byes in each. The teams who make the final 4 will be automatically moved to the main league the following year. The champion of each league will play each other for the secondary league title.
Buy in: The buy in is $50.
Payouts: Teams eliminated in the quarterfinals receive $50 each. Teams eliminated in the final 4 receive $150. Runner up receives $350. Champion receives $550.
General Information
- General Setup: All the scoring and rules of the main league apply to the secondary league. The BCS will not be used, only standings. The top 6 teams in the overall standings make the playoffs. The top 2 teams receive a bye. Head to head is the first tie breaker followed by total points scored.
- Draft: Sometime in August. It will be the same date as the main league draft.
