CFP Explanation
The CFP Rankings are a formula based set of rankings that determine playoff seeding and at-large bids. They are made up of 7 components. Winning Percentage (55%), Power Ranking (22.5%), Passing Stats (4.5%), Running Stats Backs (4.5%), Passing Stats (4.5%), Defense and Special Teams (4.5%) and Kickers (4.5%).
Teams accumulate points based on the categories above. This accumulation of points makes up a teams CFP number. Teams are then ranked based on their CFP number. Below is an explanation of each category.
- Winning % - This is the number of wins a fantasy team has.
Team wins divided by highest team wins multiplied by 0.55.
- Power Ranking - The power ranking is made up of the number of teams a fantasy team would have beaten in a given week plus the number of teams that's team's opponent would have beaten that same week plus that team's opponents wins. This is cumulative throughout the season.
